George wallked on stage wearing a medical mask, looked up as the crowd was SCREAMING and then took it off and smiled I laughed so hard I almost fell down.
In case you don't know, Hidalgo is RIGHT on the border with Mexico. No swine flu thought.. I hope. lol
There were people crying as he came on the stage and the mix of music was pure PURE country. He gave the fans what we have come to expect. A good mix of old favorites and a mix of songs from IJCN, SDIT and of course Troubador.
Amarillo by morning almost had a tear in my eye and I'm looking forward to the rest of the tour. There is just something about the way that fiddle cries slowly into the distance as the lights go down. OH and Marty was looking good too. ;D
I am not a big fan of the way people are going to concerts just to be at the concerts though. By this I mean that these venues are all turning into a showplace for some companies who buy out suites and everyone just stands around posing. It's just odd seeing these groups at a show that is so pure to country music. Other than that little thing it was a great concert and the sounds was great.
Ya'll take care now.

This is what's happened with sports. Too many corporate types who buy up sky boxes and seats and aren't really there because they're fans. So glad you had a Grait time!
