Saw on Twitter that Joe Nichols has been offered the role of Rusty Not a typo, they are changing the name. Looking for a 2010 debut  |

 :(Hmph. RUSTY? Okay. Not to be picky.. But it is DUSTY. I'm not a fan of Joe Nichols and I don't think he would be a good George/Dusty. They are already changing the storyline. Dusty. Not Rusty. Hmp. Not too thrilled. I'd rather watch the movie anyday. Sorry to sound kinda pissed there. It's incredible that they are switching up such a good movie.

Joe is ok, but he's no George. What I'm afraid of is that it will lose all it's depth. The foils in the movie "Pure Country" are very well developed. The symbols work at several levels. It was a great movie. When they finish making all the changes, I'm afraid they will lose the meaning.

I agree... why change the name if it's supposed to be a musical of Pure Country??
Dusty is the main character -- if they change the name, they might as well change the story and the title.
