Is there a song you love that George has never sung or recorded (as far as you know) and wish George would sing it?
One that comes to mind is Josh Turner's "Your Man".

Maybe The Rose or a country version of Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx.

I've been listening to my old Michael Bolton CD's. Now there aren't a lot of songs that could be traded between the two. Michael can't do twang and George doing falsetto? I don't think so. There is one song that I just forwarded to that I'd love to hear George sing, called "Only A Woman Like You". He could definitely do it. Here are the lyrics and a link to a video (old). Seems he co-wrote this song with Shania Twain: Michael Bolton Only a Woman Like you: It's beautiful, your honesty You cry when you need to say what you feel You're never afraid to wear your heart on your sleeve You're always so open with me It's in your voice, I can hear it The sound of a woman in love Only a woman can love you so much Give you her life and give you her trust Not any woman can do what you do Only a woman like you It's magical, your love for me It's more than a man could ever receive I'm just a man and it's hard to believe A woman like you could love me It' in your eyes, I can see it The look of a woman in love Only a woman can love you so much Give you her life and give you her trust Not any woman can do what you do Only a woman like you If only I could find the words to say But I just can't, so forgive me Cause you took the words away You answered every prayer I always prayed It's in your touch, I can feel it The feeling of a woman in love Only a woman can love you so much Give you her life and give you her trust Not any woman can do what you do Only a woman like you Only a woman can love you so much Give you her life and give you her trust Not any woman can do what you do Only a woman like you www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4Xq42LdhCM&feature=related

All I Ever Needed by Bret Michaels (Poison lead singer) www.vh1.com/video/play.jhtml?artist=500964&vid=235396Great song. Lyrics: There you lay and here I stand He knelt down on his knees and took her by the hand We seen some good times been through some bad But somewhere between the laughter and the tears We sure had a lot of great years, she said We didn't need fortune didn't need fame Just a little shelter from the rain Your hand to hold onto, when times got tough you pulled me through We didn't need a castle made of stone Just you there as I grow old Your heart to hold onto All I ever needed was you Was you. Remember our first dance, our first kiss I pictured my life with you to be just like this You stood by me, I stand by you We share the laughter joy and pain But it's a moment like this I hope it never ends (chorus) We didn't need fortune didn't need fame Just a little shelter from the rain Your hand to hold onto, when times got tough you pulled me through We didn't need a castle made of stone, just you there as i grow old Your heart to hold onto, All I ever needed was you Share my life with you, girl I thank you for sharing your life with me For giving me a reason to believe For loving me for who i am (chorus) We didn't need fortune didn't need fame Just a little shelter from the rain Your hand to hold onto, when times got tough you pulled me through We didn't need a castle made of stone, just you there as I grow old Your heart to hold onto, All I ever needed All I ever needed was you You're all I ever needed.

Keeper of the Stars by Tracy Byrd. I love that song and I love Tracy's voice, but I think George would sound amazing doing that song.

From CMT's website: Seeing and hearing Hank Williams' decades-old country gospel anthem "I Saw the Light" performed twice in public -- to enthusiastic audience ovations -- within a few days is an illuminating reminder that country gospel and the country music tradition are still very powerful forces. www.cmt.com/artists/news/1491022/09162004/williams_sr_hank.jhtml

That was a really nice article. I wish more people would recognize. Exactly. That's what's underneath all the layers.

"DON'T CLOSE YOUR EYES" I know you loved him,a long time ago Even now in your arms, you still want him I know But darling this time, let your memories die When you hold me tonight, don't close your eyes.. Don't close your eyes, let it be me.. Don't pretend it's him,in some fantasy.. Darling just once, let yesterday go.. You'll find more love, than you've ever known.. Just hold me tight, when you love me tonight And don't close your eyes.. Maybe I've been a fool, holding on all this time.. Lyin' here in your arms, knowing he's in your mind.. But I keep hoping someday, that you'll see the light.. Let it be me tonight, don't close your eyes.. Just hold me tight, when you love me tonight And don't close your eyes. This song was sung by Keith Whitley. I really luv all Keith's music. Rip,Keith.

what about "I Told You So"?
I love the way Randy Travis sings that song, of course and Carrie does a beautiful job.
I would love to hear George do it. With his sexy baritone voice, I think it would make a beautiful song sound even better.
