I watched the CMA's last night and they didn't mention George Strait the entire show. I didn't hear him nominated for anything and there were only about six real country singers and the rest were pop singers wearing black baseball caps pretending to sing country. What have the CMA's turned into? They should be ashamed of themselves and just fold up shop.
At least Taylor Swift and her high school diary songs didn't win. The fact that they flooded her with awards over the past years should have been a clue that they have no idea what real country music is.

I watched the show and was glad to see Blake Shelton and Miranda win but other than a handful of entertainers there wasn't much else ground breaking. Little Big Town won but I'm not sure they should have gotten any real award for Pontoon. They have much better songs with depth that are country songs.

I enjoyed the show and was glad to see LBT's win. I read an article about Alan Jackson a while back that talked about how Alan, like George Strait, is country, has always been country, always will be country, and there are a lot of young artists out there now trying to show you how country they are. I agree with that completely.
