I was online getting my tickets for the New Orleans show and the floor was pretty much gone in less than 5 minutes.
Add the aggravation of the new Captch security screen they are using with a word and now a picture with a number or word on it that is extremely hard to read and you better be on your toes when ordering tickets for any of these concerts.
My interent connection went out for a minute and I tried my smart phone but forget that mess. You can't read the new captcha security words and numbers and the mobile site keeps taking you to the VIP tickets even though you try to stay on the full website.
I got great seats but I watched as the floor was taken quickly and only single seats were available after about 10 minutes.
I do think the VIP seating took up many of the prime seats on the floor but at that price you could feed a family of 12 some serious steak and go home and watch the GS Astrodome DVD.
Hopefully when they go on sale to the general public they will open more seats on the floor and first level. I think it will be sold out in record time come this Friday.
Good luck everybody.

I didn't get the VIP and ended up with Section 2 row C in OKlahoma City for 1/19/13. However, I had to be patient. I kept refreshing because the first seats to come up were not very good. 20 minutes after tix went on sale, these great seats came up. (This was the fan club sale)

My experience was the same as Ranger's. I tried two weeks ago to buy tickets for the Greensboro, NC concert. I was just going to buy the regular tickets because I didn't know anything about the VIP packages. Once I saw the VIP packages, I decided to wait and buy time they went on sale for the Greenville, SC concert because by the time I realized the first 10 rows were VIP tickets, it was 10:05 and the rows were filling up! I hate TicketMaster's stupid captcha thing because it takes me two or three tries to get an image I can read. I don't mind the principle behind it if they would just make it READABLE! My main complaint is that American Express card holders were able to buy during the GS fanclub presale and they didn't have to enter a code on the first page like we do, so it was a quicker process for them to get tickets in their cart.
Anyway, I bought my tickets today for the Greenville, SC show and I'm super excited!
