Is it me or is the George Strait official website boring as all get out? Who is running it and why is it so crackers and water? Can somebody PLEASE tell his people that they need to get with the program and realize it is 2012 and not 1982!
There is no real fan interaction and very poorly designed merchandise that borders on flea market items. He is after all George Strait and deserves better items than what they offer.

First of al welcome to the forum. Heck of a first post.
I understand the frustration with the official website and just so you know we aren't affiliated with it.
The fansite hasn't changed much in a long time and it's pretty much what you see is what you get.
I know other musicians have fancier sites with flash programing and all but the Strait site might be kept simple because it is for people from all areas of the country and in the country many don't have fast internet connections.
The merchandise for most sites is just shirts and sweaters from what I see and if that is what the market wants then I guess they are going after that market.
The topic comes up often and I would like to see some higher end items but that would mean production costs and others may not be able to afford them.
I have a few hats from the King Ranch and they are well built and are pretty high end. Maybe the GS fan club could give them a ring.
The George Strait shirts / jeans from Wrangler are what I wear often so maybe they just figure that those are their top of the line items and just allow Wrangler to the marketing on that side. They are very well built and last much longer than any other shirts I buy. They cost more of course but those 10 extra bucks are well worth a shirt that lasts 5 time longer than the average western style shirt.

I agree with Str8fan1 - the Strait website is a disgrace!! King George deserves better than that so-called website. They hardly ever post any timely news and there's no fan interaction whatsoever. Some say it's because George Strait doesn't care about his fans, which is hard to believe, but his website sure makes it seem like that's true.
