11/13 Sunday Brunch With George

Good morning George Strait fans,

What a beautiful morning!! Last Tuesday we were sunny and at 72 degrees. Today, we are going to be in the 50's and sunny. Two weekends ago there was snow on the ground! This time of year is just crazy!!!

In two weeks 'Country Weekly' will have a front cover of George and Norma on the front. YEA!!! 40 Years Married!!
To be married 10 years is a feat these days. To be married 40 years is totally amazing!! I can't wait to have my copy in my hot little hands!

George might be on this week's cover. It will be Trace Atkins by himself or he will share the cover with George and someone else. They are talking about SEXIEST again!

LEAVES!!!! We have raked twice already. Half the trees still have leaves on them. I guess we will be raking all week.

I'm doing a little Thanksgiving dinner shopping today. We go to my husband's sister's house for our dinner. I'm in charge of dessert. This year they have requested an apple pie and a pumpkin pie. Off to the farm market for my apples before I can't find them. I use my Great-Grandmother's recipe. She brought it over from Germany in 1880 and taught it to my mother. I learned it by watching my mom make her pies every Thanksgiving and Christmas while growing up. She never changed the well over 100 year old recipe, and neither will I. I guess it's now a 'Family Tradition'. The pumpkin pie is all my mother's recipe. It is still over 60 years old and the best ever!!!

Shrimp Creole over brown rice for dinner tonight. I have a nice loaf of garlic-rosemary bread just waiting for something to dip it in.

Sorry I haven't been on so much lately. Getting toward the end of school. I only have four classes left, and with crunched 8 week semesters, they really go quick.

Took a little down time to listen to Strait videos on Youtube this afternoon.

I noticed that there's another version of George Strait Icon. I haven't got mine yet, but I will soon. I'll probably put it on my ipod.

The weather here has been gorgeous. It has been between 60 and 80 degrees lately. That is so much better than the 100's we had over the summer.

Well, I have goofed off enough. I have to get back to cramming for midterms, which I have to take by Saturday, cause I don't do school work on Sunday.

I graduate in May, if the Lord's willing, and I pray He is!
