I was just curious if anybody on here is going to be at the show in Lexington on the 29th? I know a lot of people had posted on that other board that they were going to be there.
This will be my 3rd George concert. I can't wait! I know it will go by way too fast and then I'll suffer from PSCD for months!
If anybody on here, other than myself and my Mom, is going to be at the show, maybe we all could get together for dinner before the concert or something. Just an idea!

I'll be there. My sister, a friend and I are driving to Lexington Friday morning. We are meeting up with my daughter who has an apartment in Lexington and attends EKU. It will be a big girls nite out in Lexington with George. We can hardly wait. It seems so close now - but still far away. I haven't seen him for a couple of years - the last time he was in Louisville we all drove up there for his concert. We have seen him around seven times I think - but can't get too much of a good thing.

Would you gals like to get together for a pre-show dinner? That's one thing everybody on Jimmy Fortune's board does before his concerts, we all plan what we call a "pre-show" and then we all head over to the concert. It's always so much fun getting together, a little loud from all the laughter, but fun just the same!
Mom and I are coming from TN and we should get there in the afternoon. It's about a 5 hour drive for us. I don't know anything about Lexington so maybe your daughter could help.
I know what you mean, it's close but still seems so far away! 2 weeks and counting! I'm looking forward to it!
I promise I will come back with pictures and share them with all of you. I got a new camera around Christmas last year and it takes awesome pics. Can't wait to try it out on George!

I'd love to get together if we can work something out. I have my daughter trying to find out if the local station is having a pre concert get together. I'll let you know if I hear anything. I will try and get a better handle on when we will get to Lexington. My sister and friend still teach so we won't leave until they get out of school. Probably not until around 3 or so. It is about an hour and half drive for us. I am not sure what time my daughter finishes classes that day. they are trying to take personal days. Only so many are allowed at each school and some other people we know at the school will also be at the concert. As soon as I get any more info I'll share with you. Where are you seats located in Rupp Arena?  |

Keep me posted about what you find out! I hope we can work something out. We will probably get to Lexington around 2 or 3. We plan on leaving TN around 9 and it's about a 5 hour drive for us. We have to pick up the rental car on the way out of town so I would imagine we will actually get on the road around 9:30 or 10:00.
Our seats are in section 34, row C. I hope they're good seats. I have a pretty decent zoom on my camera so I'm not too concerned about getting some great pics of George.

I'll let you know when we have something firmed up. We will be straight across from you - section 11. I am taking two digital cameras. One with a 12 times optical zoom and the other with an 18 times optical zoom. I hope I can get some good pix to share. I considered taking my digital video camera. it also takes stills and has a 35times optical zoom. I am not sure if it will be allowed.

I just saw a new layout for Rupp and it looks like George will be entering by you at the concert. The new graphic shows the metal barriers they put up so ou might be able to get some good coming and going pix.

I noticed that on the seating chart as well. I'm excited. OK, excited is probably an understatement! All the other times I've seen George, I've been on the opposite side of where he enters and exits.
As for getting pics coming and going....that will prove interesting. Poor George might be a bit on the blurry side. I told Mom I'm good at multitasking but not THAT good!
