hello. i never noticed this part of the board before. lol i'm Brittney. i live in Illinois so im not really cowgirlish. but i love cowboys! especially George! no matter what he'll always be my leading man. i'm 15 years young. yes, young fan of George. i thought i knew alot about him, but speaking to some of his fans i've realized my life time wont inform me of all his amazing acheivements. i saw my first George concert this year 2-29-08. i love finding pictures of him in a different atmosphere than singing or in concert. i also love fun facts. i really enjoy this board. thanks, Brittney.

I feel like I'm a new member since I haven't been here in awhile so I feel inadequate welcoming the new members....but WELCOME anyway! I still post on CMT every once in awhile plus 2 other boards...and try to keep up with my household chores along with doing things with and for my grandkids. One of them just graduated from college and will be moving to the Dallas area to teach school....8th grade Science and will also be doing some coaching....football, etc.
Anyway...I still love George Strait just as much as ever and got to see him in Austin at the Frank Erwin Center when he was here. He just gets better and better. I really enjoyed 'Little Big Town', too. They put on a great show.

Don't be such a stranger Gstop We are all still here. The boards always slow down a bit when George isn't on tour.

I'm Candy, and I live in the southwest corner of a Georgia cotton field. I love George's music, but my husband doesn't, cause I talk in my sleep. I told him we were just out horseback riding. He's like, "yea, and you were ridin' George Strait's horse." Well, what could I say, I was dreaming that I was riding George Strait's horse, but not riding George Strait's horse. We went out riding til we got to this pond. When we got to the pond, I spread out a quilt and unpacked a picnic lunch with home cooked fried chicken and homemade buttermilk biscuits. He polished off his plate, and stretched out on the quilt while I sat against a shade tree. I have to admit, he was overheatin' my radiator layin' there. I didn't want to cut him loose, cause I was havin' a good time, but I didn't want to do anything I had to apologize to God about either, so I says, "hey, George, roll over on your stomach and I'll rub your back." He liked that idea, so he rolled over and pulled his shirt up, just a little. He didn't take it off though, cause you know George Strait can't take his shirt off. It's glued on or something. But he pulled his shirt up just enough for me to rub his back. He fell asleep in the shade, and I woke up. Alright, I admit, I dreamed that I touched George Strait's horse, but I didn't touch his hat, his boots, or his belt buckle. I was still decent! Needless to say, my husband does not take me to George Strait concerts, but I still buy the cd's, make requests on the radio, stream the videos (Oh Yea), and anything else that I can do to get Strait.

Casims, "it's glued on or something"? Cracked me up. I'm from the Great Lakes region, and was never a big country music fan, although I've loved some of it and had a few CD's. I got here from CMT after a few odd coincidences last summer that got me to listen to one of George's videos. This was after fuming for a couple months, and I actually found myself ready to talk to an old friend again. I kept listening to that thing and my anger and resolve started to diminish and the outcome was a good one. So I started looking for more of his songs and videos and here I am.

Where at in the Great Lakes region? My grandma and aunt both lived in Michigan. I used to go up there, but I haven't been since my grandma passed away. It was pretty up around East Jordan, though. Harrison was pretty, too.

Hi George Strait fans. My name is Madelaine and I'm from just north of Philadelphia. I'm pretty new to George. I got hooked when I saw Pure Country on CMT, back when "She'll Leave You With A Smile" was the big video playing. I saw George and wondered who that gorgeous cowboy was! I waited for the credits to roll and found out that he sang most of the songs too. I looked him up and liked what I saw. I was permantly hooked!!! Last year was my 1st concert. This year I'm hoping to get tickets for 2 shows. I am looking forward to chatting with all of you.

I'm Gabrielle. I go by Gabbie. I am thirteen. I will be fourteen in July. I am in 8th grade. I was born in Florida. I live in Connecticut though. I have a little brother, who is 9 and also a fan of George. I am a christian and I wear a purity ring. I am a fan of country music. I am a huge fan of George. I grew up around his music. My parents have been to two concerts.(They never took me -_-) And "You're Something Special To Me" was my parents wedding song. So they played his music frequently. All of my friends look at me weird for wearing his tour tshirts to school. But eh. Can't help it. His music is so irristable. I have 22 of his albums. Hope to make some new George Strait fan friends on here!
-Gabbie
