George Strait Fan Club WARNING

I just want to remind everyone to be sure to check the expiration
of your fan club membership. I received a post card on the 9th
of December that was postmarked on the 6th of December.

It said my membership was about to expire.

I went to the website to renew it and it was already expired.

Not one email was sent to me about this.


Sure, I guess I could figure out somehow with a star chart and
Ouija board along with the help of NASA to figure out when I
first signed on but its a fan club for cripes sakes and they should
at least help out the fans.


Don't get caught by surprise just before the tickets go on sale people.


And on a side note I think that the George Strait web page is
10 years behind the curve. Very amature and not really a fan
based web page at all. This is 2008 and it's time to move
the crapper out of the outhouse.

I almost got caught with my expiration - but I managed to catch it in time and renew. I just happened to be on the website and was having trouble ordering an item. I called the fan club and asked for help (which by the way, was an annoyance.... they are not very helpful). in the meantime I asked about my membership and was told, "Oh it's going to expire on 11/19 - it was already 11/10, so i immediately renewed. but if i hadnt asked, i wouldn't have known either.

i agree that web page is not very "with the times". I wish I knew how to do it.... i would volunteer to keep it up and take care of it.

I have never known that feature to work -- and i've been a member for years!!
