Ok, well, y'all know I love real country music, and I really don't like crossover stuff. Tin Cup Gypsy isn't exactly country music. They sing a modern folk music, but they are all associated with Country music. Tin Cup Gypsy is Jordan Lawson (Josh Turner's fiddler+), Jonathan Lawson (Sara Evans fiddler+), and Cassandra Lawson (Jonathan Lawson's wife who has been in several country music videos). They are really talented, but they are also really sweet. They give generously of themselves to benefit other people. That's why I'm posting. If you are in the Tennessee area, and you can make it, Tin Cup Gypsy will be playing in front of the Bank of America on the corner of Union and 5th street in Nashvegas, Tennessee on December 11,2008 from 11am to about 1:00. There is no charge, but donations can be given to benefit the Salvation Army. Instead of ringing bells, they are playing their instruments. They are really talented, with a genuine love for other people, and I say that with all confidence. Just look at the look on Jordan's face with these two kids. There is also a picture of Jordan holding a baby on TCG's myspace. Anyway for some really good music for a really good cause, go to the Bank of America on December 11.

What a great article. Jordan is one good looking young man. Not that I'd want to be 20-something again, but there sure are some good looking young'uns out there. Interesting the way he compared Josh's band members to Ace in the Hole.

Yea, I noticed that. Jordan, Jonathan, and Cassandra (the Lawsons) do all kinds of things for kids. They play at Vanderbilt Children's hospital in Nashville. They give volunteer violin lessons at a school. They all just love kids. They also do some really original music, but it's folk music instead of country. Still their a pretty sweet group who makes good use of their time to benefit other people. This is a link to their myspace. profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=111412264
