Congrats to George for his wins tonight. Especially loved the part where he said he had the best fans.

The part of saying he had the BEST fans was the icing on the cake.

I was hearing it everyday on WTVY, which is in Dothan AL, but I haven't heard it much in the last couple days. The request line number is 1-800-342-3695. Between 12 and 1, they have a request hour every day, and I have requested it. Sometimes the request lines are open as early as 10am but not always. You can listen live on the computer at www.955wtvy.com/ If we request it, maybe they will stream it more. I live in GA, but I live about 30 minutes from Dothan, AL and about 45 minutes from Tallahassee, FL. Basically, I live in the Southwest corner of a Georgia cotton field.

I heard it this morning, but that was in the car on XM Satellite radio. I tuned in to a Chicago station and a Philly station over the past week, but no ROL yet. It's such a fun and upbeat song, amidst the heartache of many songs like Let It Go, Just a Dream, Do You Believe Me Now, that I really enjoy it. It's like Chicken Fried, it's just fun. What's chicken fried anyway? I'm a city girl from the cold frozen north. What do I know? hahaha Well, I know that 'where the peaches grow' is Georgia..

Chicken Fried is actually in reference to fried chicken, like Kentucky Fried Chicken, or home cooked fried chicken.
The song is like a memorial to veterans. It's all about saluting the men who give their lives in the armed forces so that we can have all the things we love but take for granted, like fried chicken, a cold beer on a Friday night, a pair of jeans that fit just right (or fit George just right) , and the radio on (George Strait). It's kind of a list of things we take for granted.

I did get that from the song, but didn't know if chicken fried was literally fried chicken or something like Coke being any soft drink in parts of the south.
