That song by Sugarland, STAY is sad and slow that
it makes me go straight for the channel changer.
Her voice is great in other songs she sings but this
one is very hard to listen to.
maybe because I am a guy?

I like 'Stay', but i have to be in the right mood to listen to it. I am a fan of Sugarland, saw them at our state fair last year.  Awesome show ! Ranger, I'm a girl, and i feel the same way at times. Guess it's the tears...  |

I change the channel everytime sugarland comes on.
Just cannot stand that voice... sounds like a cat being stripped of it's fur!!
I don't know what it is.

Donna, I'm with you. I can't stand Sugarland. Jennifer Nettles' voice grates on my nerves. I always change the station when she comes on and I literally hate that song "Stay".

that song too gets on my last nerve...it is her voice, very scratchy, but i really don't like the lyrics. as a woman i don't appreciate the begging part. it's not for me or who i am. i can't grab the volume control fast enough. coleen:)

I don't like that song either. I am so tired of hearing about men that leave women and how women should have to compete for a man's intentions like trying to outbid each other at an auction.

I agree Coleen and Casims. Song makes me crazy. I want to say "either shut up about it or kick that boy to the curb". On the other hand, seeing Beyonce on TV singing about jiggling it and shaking her booty and singing "if you like it put a ring on it" really puts me off. When I would hear her song "irreplaceable", where she sang about breaking up with a guy she was living with, she sings "I can have another guy here in a minute" or something like that and all I could think of was "if he's so un-special that you can replace him in a minute, then what were you doing with him in the first place?" So if anyone wonders why I'm being drawn into more conservative country music, that's a good example.
